Softball edged by Seneca Valley, 8-5
North Allegheny traveled to Seneca Valley for Section 1-6A softball action on Thursday afternoon. The Raiders jumped on the Tigers early and NA fought back into the game but the comeback bid fell short, 8-5.
Leah Carlson and Hayden Robertson each had two hits. Carlson homered and had two RBIs as well. Erin Fadgen and Taylor Condiotte each doubled.
Ellie Torchia got the start for the Tigers. Cailyn Wateska went five innings of relief allowing six hits, three runs (none earned), a walk and two strikeouts.
North Allegheny falls to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in section play. The Tigers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Norwin to take on the Knights at 4 p.m.
