Tigers claim 4-2 win over Maginficiat (OH)
North Allegheny traveled across state lines to Magnificat (OH) for a Saturday non-section contest. The Tigers picked up their first win of the season with a 4-2 victory over Magnificat (OH).
Kaylee Volk got the scoring going with 4:34 left in the first when Davia Gross sent a pass across the cage to give NA the 1-0 lead. Grace Gavran expanded the lead to 2-0 going bottom right after getting a pass from Addison Burns.
In the third quarter, Magnificat (OH) cut the North Allegheny lead to 2-1 but with under a minute to go in the period, Volk scored again to make the score 3-1 going into the fourth quarter. Gavron put the game on ice scoring early in the fourth quarter going bottom left this time. Magnificat (OH) got one more goal on the board but NA left Ohio with a 4-2 victory.
Sydney Bragunier made seven saves in net.
North Allegheny improves to 1-3-1 overall. The Tigers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Pine-Richland to take on the Rams at 7:30 p.m.
