Ayden Owens Earns Bronze At National Event
North Allegheny sophomore Ayden Owens placed third in the decathlon at the National Junior Olympics Track & Field Championship this summer. The event was held in Jacksonville, Florida on the week of July 27 through August 2. Owens was a freshman on North Allegheny’s WPIAL Championship boys’ track & field team last spring and was one of three siblings who competed at the national event this summer. Makena Owens, a junior, and Gavin Owens, a seventh grader, also participated but did not place.
