Boys Volleyball defend home court at NA Invitational
North Allegheny boys volleyball hosted the NA Invitational on Saturday morning at UPMC Court. The Tigers went 2-0 in the opening pool to put themselves in the Gold Pool. In the second round, NA went 5-1 with their lone loss to Fox Chapel. Even with the loss, North Allegheny was the top seed going into bracket play.
In bracket play, the Tigers defeated Montour (25-17), Seton La Salle (25-19) and Manheim Central (25-16) to claim the NA Invitational title.
Brendan Moore led the Tigers offensively with 28 kills. He also had six blocks and four aces. Will Robertson had 24 kills to go along with three blocks and 23 digs. Peter Bratich added 23 kills with six blocks. Nathan May contributed 13 kills and three blocks. Ethan Palmer had 10 kills and two blocks. Elliot Swierczynski had two blocks at the net along with five aces, 11 digs and 45 assists. Henry Dorn had four aces from the service line. Emmett Morris led NA defensively with 27 digs. Josh Chou had 12 digs while also dishing out 58 assists.
The Tigers are back in action on Friday when they travel to Austin, Texas to take part in the First Point National High School Volleyball Tournament.
