Five Tigers Advance To 2nd Round of WPIAL Individual Tournament
North Allegheny sent six golfers to the opening round of the WPIAL Class AAA boys’ golf individual championships on soggy Monday at Latrobe Country Club and five Tigers made the cut to advance to the second and final round.
Sophomore Ravi Desai had another impressive postseason performance with a 4-over par 76 and tied for third place. Senior Jacob Phrampus finished in a tie for 14th place with a score of 80. The top 36 golfers qualified for the next round and Chris Hoffman, Collin Ward and Colin Rende all punched their ticket to next week’s action, each carding an 82.
Senior Jake Watterson narrowly missed the cut with a score of 87. For a look at the leaderboard from round one, click here.
Desai, Phrampus, Hoffman, Ward and Rende will take part in the second round of the WPIAL Class AAA boys’ golf individual championships on Monday, Oct. 2 at Valleybrook Country Club.
