Five Tigers Land All-WPIAL honors, Two Earn First-Team Laurels
Five members of the North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team were named to the All-WPIAL team in Class AAA this week.
Landing first-team accolades were sophomore middle hitter Peter Bratich and sophomore outside hitter Will Robertson. Bratich is the team leader in blocks with 87 on the season and Robertson tops the team in kills with 294.
Second-team laurels went to senior setter Nicolas Carioto and senior libero Will Hahn. Carioto paces the squad with 678 assists and Hahn has posted a team-best 510 digs on the season with over 1,000 on his career, the first Tiger to surpass the 1,000-digs plateau.
Earning third-team recognition was senior right-side hitter Stone Gaertner. He is among the team leaders in kills with 223. For a look at the entire list of All-WPIAL teams, click here.
All five players have made a significant impact on North Allegheny’s 13-2 record and WPIAL runner-up finish in the district playoffs. The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday, June 4 in the opening round of the PIAA Class AAA playoffs.
