
Indians Top Tigers In Non-Section Matchup

The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team hosted Peters Township Monday night in the penultimate game of the regular season at Newman Stadium. The Indians won 17-7.
North Allegheny jumped out to a strong start offensively, with back-to-back goals from sophomores Sarah Harlan and Addison Sisinni. Peters jumped into the lead after scoring four straight goals to end the period.
Senior Avery Anderson cut the lead to one in the early stages of the second quarter, by the Indians clapped back with two more goals. Senior Madelyn Lemmon, Anderson and sophomore Briana Elias all scored for NA before the half. Peters held a 10-6 lead at the half.
The Indians jumped out to a 14-6 lead at the end of the third quarter, scoring all four goals in the stanza. Sophomore Gracie Lynch was the last Tiger to find the back of the net.
Peters was led by Emma Kail who scored four goals. Abby Yates, Sophia Manzari and Dana Anderson each registered a hat trick.
Avery Anderson took home Wright Automotive Player of the Game laurels for her two-goal performance.
North Allegheny finishes the regular season on the road Wednesday with a non-section match against Quaker Valley. Opening draw is slated for 6:00 p.m.
