Julianne Weaver officially commits to Rochester
North Allegheny swimmer Julianne Weaver officially signed her letter of intent to continue her athletic and academic career at the University of Rochester on Thursday afternoon.
Weaver was a four-time WPIAL qualifier and two-time state qualifier. She holds the North Allegheny pool record in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:35.43 beating the previous record by over a second. Weaver also was a USA Swimming Eastern Zone Speedo Sectional Qualifier.
Weaver joins a University of Rochester squad that competes in the University Athletic Association. The Yellowjackets went 6-4 last season with a seventh-place finish at the UAA Championships. They had a 20th place finish at the NCAA Championships in 2013-2014.
