Kayla Joyce Named To All-State Field Hockey Team

After a tremendous career with the North Allegheny field hockey team, senior Kayla Joyce was awarded yet another accolade for her success. Friday, the Northwestern commit was named first-team all-state by the Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey
Coaches Association.
Joyce is a two-time WPIAL All-Star and All-WPIAL player, three-time North Allegheny defensive MVP, and is ranked in the Max FH Top 150 in the country. She has also been a four-time North Allegheny Scholar-Athlete.
In her junior and senior seasons as the full-time starter in net, Joyce made 611 saves, with an 89% save percentage. Her career-high for saves in a game was 48 on September 16th, 2023, when the Tigers took on Magnificat (OH).
In 2024, Joyce collected six shutouts with a season-high 38 saves against Cumberland Valley on September 7th. She also surpassed 500 saves in her career on September 26th against Pine-Richland.

In her time at North Allegheny, the Tigers reached the WPIAL Championship in 2021 and 2022 and made the WPIAL Semifinals in 2023 and 2024.
