
NA gets back on track with 3-0 win against Mt. Lebanon
Coming off of a crushing 2-1 overtime defeat against Pine-Richland on Tuesday, North Allegheny was able to bounce back Friday night with a 3-0 win against the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils at Newman Stadium.
After a defensive struggle in the first quarter, the Lady Tigers got in the board in the second quarter when Isla Abrams found the back of the net with 6:26 remaining in the half to give North Allegheny a 1-0 lead, a lead they would take into halftime. Things started a little slow again in the third quarter but with 5:37 remaining in the quarter, it was Abrams again, giving the Lady Tigers a 2-0 lead. Lauren Kampi added a tally with 5:37 remaining in regulation to all but put it away for North Allegheny and they coasted to a 3-0 victory.
Jordan Ashbaugh got the shutout in net stopping all 12 saves that came her way.
North Allegheny improves to 9-2-1 overall and 5-1 in the section. Mt. Lebanon falls to 3-6 overall and 3-4 in section play. Up next for the Lady Tigers will be a trip south to Peters Township where they will take on the Indians on Monday at 7:45 pm.
