Meghan McDonough Tabbed First Team All-State
North Allegheny graduate and outfielder, Meghan McDonough, was tabbed first-team all-state by the Pennsylvania High School Coaches Association on Thursday.
The table setter in the Tigers’ lineup, McDonough batted .440 out of the leadoff spot during her senior campaign with a team-leading 37 hits, 29 runs scored and 15 stolen bases. The lefty hitter added 11 RBI’s and stroked her first career home run against Butler on April 24.
Not only fashioning a stellar bat, the speedy centerfielder dazzled on defense as well with numerous diving and athletic catches throughout the season.
The University of Pitt-Johnstown commit finished her three-year career (no freshman year due to COVID) at North Allegheny with a career .408 batting average, 27 RBI and 64 runs scored. She was also a three-time all-section honoree by the Big 56 Conference, including two first-team accolades.
