NA bounces back; sweeps Chartiers Valley

The North Allegheny boys tennis team rebounded nicely from their first regular season loss in over two years by defeating Chartiers Valley, 5-0. Man of the Match honors belong to senior Nick Haller as he got his first start and win of the season by pairing with junior Anish Ramachandruni to stake the Tigers to a 1-0 lead at 2nd doubles, 6-0, 6-0. Senior captain Nick Scheuring doubled the lead almost instantly by taking down his Colt opponent at 2nd singles, 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore sensation Advaita Sircar clinched the match for NA without dropping a game at 1st singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Getting his second straight start at 3rd singles, sophomore Dylan Pak shook off yesterday’s loss with a resounding 6-0, 6-0 victory. Finally, senior Sri Thirumala and senior captain Adhav Ramadas closed out the sweep at 1st doubles by silencing Chartiers Valley, 6-0, 6-0.
North Allegheny improves to 2-1 overall. Up next, the Tigers host perennial powerhouse Fox Chapel on Thursday. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
