NA Continues Winning Ways With Victory Against Central Catholic
The North Allegheny boys’ tennis team continued to move through the non-section portion of its schedule with ease by defeating Central Catholic, 5-0.
Sensational sophomore Evan Kaufman started off the scoring with a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles. Freshman phenom Advaita Sircar remained perfect in two consecutive matches with another 6-0, 6-0 blanking of his Viking opponent. The third and decisive point of the match came at second doubles from the brotherly combination of senior Adithya Ramadas Guptha and sophomore Adhav Ramadas who also left their opponents scoreless, 6-0, 6-0.
Getting their first varsity action of the season, the doubles tandem of senior Amit Bhandari and junior Nicolas Haller put on a clinic at second doubles, winning by a score of 6-1, 6-0. The final point of the afternoon and the third sweep of the season came off of the racquet of junior Sri Thirumala at third singles who won 6-1, 6-2.
Up next, the team hosts perennial powerhouse Fox Chapel on Thursday. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
