NA Dealt Loss At Shady Side Academy
North Allegheny’s three-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday night by Shady Side Academy, 16-3, in a Section 2-AAA contest.
Bulldogs junior Neely Hawn netted a game-high seven goals and junior Elsa Blodgett followed with six goals to lead the way for SSA. Shady Side controlled the action for most of the game but NA did break through for three goals. Senior Isla Abrams and juniors Avery Anderson and Viola Del Vechhio each tallied markers for the Tigers. Senior goalie Izzie Trunzo made nine saves in net.
North Allegheny falls to 3-5 overall and 3-3 in section play. Shady Side Academy improves to 5-1 overall and in the section. The Tigers look to bounce back on Thursday night for an important section game against Seneca Valley.
