NA Falls On Road To Penn-Trafford
The North Allegheny field hockey traveled to Harrison City on Wednesday evening and dropped a 2-1 decision to Penn-Trafford.
Tied 1-1 after one half of play, junior Rilie Moors scored the game-winning goal early in the third quarter to lift the Warriors to the non-section win.
Senior Sophie Grafton scored NA’s lone goal in the second period. It was Grafton’s fourth goal of the season and 11th for her career. Penn-Trafford senior Mackenzie Keenan scored in the second quarter as well to deadlock the score at 1-1 through one half of play.
Penn-Trafford outshot North Allegheny, 20-2, and led in penalty corners, 7-3. Junior goalie Kayla Joyce continued her stellar play and made 18 saves on the night.
North Allegheny slips to 5-7-2 overall on the season and will visit Hempfield on Monday at 6:00 p.m. in a Section 1-AAA contest.
