The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team traveled to the South Hills to face the WPIAL runners-up from a season ago in Class AAA for a tough non-section contest and dropped an 18-7 decision to Mt. Lebanon.

The host Blue Devils held a 10-3 lead at the half and were powered by a pair of four-goal performances from senior Sarah Hudak and freshman Lauren Tinnemeyer. Senior Addison Murdoch and freshman Cali Green each added hat tricks.

The Tigers did their best to keep pace and were led by sophomore Reagan Riordan, who netted a team-high four goals and a team-best five ground balls. Senior Isla Abrams tallied a pair of goals and junior Viola Del Vecchio chipped in with one marker. In net, senior goalie Izzie Trunzo made 14 saves.

North Allegheny falls to 6-8 overall with the non-section loss. The Tigers will again head south on Thursday for a WPIAL playoff rematch from a season ago with Peters Township. NA defeated PT in overtime in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs last season, 12-11, in overtime.
