NA Falls To Shady Side Academy In Section Play
The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team fell to Shady Side Academy on Wednesday, 17-6, in a road Section 2-AAA contest. The Indians opened up an 11-3 lead by halftime and controlled the contest thanks in part to a five-goal performance from Brown University commit Emmie Lau.
North Allegheny’s leading scorer was sophomore Skye DePrado, who posted a hat trick. Senior Brooke Ferringer and sophomore Katie Oates also scored goals for the Tigers. Oates and sophomore Lola Wilhite tallied three groundballs apiece to pace the Tigers.
North Allegheny slides to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in Section 2-AAA. Shady Side Academy improves to 4-1 in the section, climbing to third place in the standings. The Tigers will return to action with a home date against Indiana on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
