NA Girls & Boys both place runner-up at Wildcat/Spartan Invitational
The North Allegheny girls and boys track & field teams traveled to Latrobe High School to take part in the Wildcat/Spartan Invitational on Friday. The Tigers won six events overall and both the girls and boys teams came in second place team in team scoring.
NA had five total winners, Isabella Costa won the long jump by an inch over Hempfield’s Allison DeMatt while also claiming the 400-meter dash title. Lindsay Breneman followed up her record breaking performance with another first place finish in the pole vault. The Tigers won both shot put titles as Jack Yatchenko took home gold on the boys side and Taylor Neese claimed first place on the girls side. Audrey Maxwell was the discus champion of the event.
The Tigers return to action today when they travel to West Mifflin High School to compete at the Tri-State Coaches Association Invite.
