NA girls win TSTCA Outdoor Championship; Boys place seventh
North Allegheny traveled to West Mifflin High School to participate in the TSTCA Outdoor Championships over the weekend. The NA girls finished with 75.50 points to win the event. They finished 11.5 points ahead of North Catholic. The boys ended up with 29 points, good enough for seventh place. Butler claimed the team title on the boys side.
For the girls, Lola Hood finished in 10th place in the 100m hurdles, Kendra Smith was the eighth-place finisher in the 100m dash and Lily Ries took eighth in the 1600m run. The Tiger 4×100 meter relay team of Lydia Randiga, Blake Stotsky, Myla Benoit and Smith finished runner-up. Elena Farrah finished fourth in the 300m hurdles, Maya Currie claimed the 800m title while Samantha Strelick took second in the 3200m run. The NA 4x400m relay team consisting of Madeline Jablonski, Ries, Sarah Klinefelter and Currie placed fourth. Randiga finished ninth in the high jump while Lindsay Breneman took home the bronze medal in the pole vault. Avery Ruffus was the sixth-place finisher in the triple jump and Taylor Neese was the champion in shot put while also coming in fifth in discus. Emma Neese and Amara Daugherty placed second and third in the javelin throw.
On the boys side, the NA 4x800m relay team of Silas Critchlow, Justin Peoples, Nathan Wach and Andrew Morton finished eighth. Sam Cohn placed third in the 110m hurdles, Rocco Martino was the fourth-place finisher in the 100m dash and Gatik Hirwani was sixth in the 1600m run. The Tiger 4×100 relay team, Martino, Jack Davis, Tydes Alualu and Nathan Kubica were runner-up. Cohn had an eighth-place finish in the 300m hurdles, Wyatt Case took ninth in the 800m run and Isaac Pokorny tied for fifth in the high jump. Charles Gibson took sixth in the discus throw while Nolan Orlando was ninth.

The Tigers return to the track tomorrow when they host Seneca Valley at Newman Stadium at 3:30 p.m.
