NA Opens 2024 Season With 5-0 Sweep At Hampton
WPIAL runners-up from a season ago, the North Allegheny boys’ tennis team opened the 2024 campaign on Monday afternoon with a 5-0 non-section sweep at Hampton.
The Tigers were dominant across the board, including singles play where freshman Advaita Sircar topped Vitaliiy Pikalo at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0, while sophomore Evan Kaufman and senior Trey Davidson each defeated their foes by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, the tandem of Sri Thirumala and Adhav Ramadas prevailed over J.J. Edwards and Matthew Mason by a 6-1, 6-1, decision. By the same score, the No. 2 combo of Utkarsh Tiwari and Shivum Telang vanquished Hayden List and Brandon Pascucci to punctuate the win.
Following the season opening win, the Tigers sit at 1-0 on the young season and will host Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
