NA opens section play with victory over Mars
The Tigers roared into section play on the road against the Mars Fighting Planets, battling both their opponents and blistering 90-degree heat at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club. In a tight contest, North Allegheny clawed their way to a hard-fought 182–184 victory on Monday afternoon.
Senior Ravi Desai set the tone with a sensational 5-under-par 31, while fellow senior Preston Troiano delivered a stellar 35. Senior Liam Cooper and junior Kyle Seidl each added steady rounds of 38, and senior Mike Huet sealed the win with a solid 40. Mars was paced by Lukas Singh’s 34.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 5–0 overall and 1–0 in section play. The squad now hits the road again, heading to Mt. Lebanon for a 1:30 p.m. showdown at Mt. Lebanon Municipal Golf Course today.
