NA Opens Section Play with Win at North Hills
The North Allegheny boys’ tennis team began section play by defeating North Hills, 5-0, on Friday afternoon.
With imminent rain in the forecast, senior Trey Davidson once again got NA on the board first winning 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. Senior Adithya Ramadas Guptha paired with brother and sophomore Adhav Ramadas for the win at second doubles, 6-0, 6-0. For the second straight match, the clinching point came at second singles as sophomore Evan Kaufman once again rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
With light rain beginning to fall, junior Sri Thirumala and senior Amit Bhandari wrapped things up in their match neatly with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Finally, just before the skies opened up, freshman Advaita Sircar completed his 6-0, 6-0 win against a very talented Josh Kim at number one singles.
Next up, the team heads north on Monday to take on the Mars Planets at 3:30.
