NA Pulls Into First Place Tie With Win Over Seneca Valley
The North Allegheny boys’ golf team earned an important section win on Thursday at North Park Golf Course, defeating the Seneca Valley Raiders, 189-194.
On a beautiful afternoon for golf, junior Jake Watterson and sophomore Chris Hoffman led the Tigers by each shooting an even par 36. Freshman Ravi Desai contributed to the victory with a 38 and senior Ethan Byrne followed with a 39. Junior Colling Wang rounded out the scoring with a 40. Seneca Valley’s Lucas Bruns was the clubhouse leader with a 1-under par 35.
North Allegheny improves to 11-2 overall and 7-2 in section play are tied atop the section with Mars. The Tigers will visit the Planets on Tuesday to determined the section champion in the final match of the season.
