NA Rolls To 5-0 Win Over Mt. Lebanon

The North Allegheny boys’ tennis team won its second match in as many days by defeating perennial powerhouse and longtime rival, Mt. Lebanon, by a 5-0 decision.

Senior Trey Davidson got the Tigers on the board first with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at third singles. Freshman Advaita Sircar wasn’t far behind after a 6-0, 6-0 dismantling of his Blue Devil opponent at first singles. Wrapping up the singles sweep and clinching the match for NA was sophomore Evan Kaufman as he prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.

The attention then turned to doubles where the Tigers looked to complete the shutout. Junior Sri Thirumala and sophomore Adhav Ramadas figured out their opponents during a first set tiebreaker and rolled to a  7-6 (3), 6-2 victory at first doubles. Finally, senior Utkarsh Tiwari teamed with freshman sensation Shivum Telang to defeat a boisterous Mt. Lebanon team at second doubles 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Up next, the team hosts Central Catholic on Wednesday. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
