NA tripped up by Butler

Posted on:

The Tigers traveled north to Slippery Rock for their third section battle of the week, squaring off against the Butler Golden Tornados. Butler whipped up a storm on their home turf, and when the winds died down, North Allegheny found themselves four strokes short.

Fighting through the swirling conditions, the Tigers mounted a charge with a trio of 1-under-par 35s from seniors Ravi Desai, Preston Troiano, and Colin Ward. Senior Liam Cooper added a 38, and junior Kyle Seidl closed out the scoring with a 39.

Butler was powered by Levi McClendend’s impressive 3-under-par 33.

The Tigers will regroup over the weekend, recharging for another busy week of golf — and the start of the school year. North Allegheny will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Fox Run Golf Course to take on Ambridge in a non-section contest.
