NATF Boys, Girls Win Butler Invitational Title

The North Allegheny track and field team took part in the 58th annual Butler Invitational on Friday and the NA Boys and Girls both came away as team champions.

The NA Boys were paced by second-place performances by sophomore Zach Nash (400m Dash), senior Andrew Gavlik (Javelin Throw) and senior Owen Curran (High Jump). Earning bronze at the invitational was sophomore Jack Bertram in the 3200m Run.

The Lady Tigers had several gold medal performances, including sophomore Wren Kucler in the 1600m Run, and the relay teams in the 4×100 and 4×400. Second-place efforts were turned in by junior Eva Kynaston (3200m Run) and sophomore Isabella Costa (Long Jump). Bronze medals were garnered by sophomore Robin Kucler (1600m Run), Costa (400m Dash), senior Alaina Fantaski (Javelin Throw) and senior Ava Como (Pole Vault).

The NATF team returns to section action on Tuesday for a home tri-meet with Pine-Richland and Fox Chapel beginning at 3:30 p.m.
