North Allegheny, Penn-Trafford Stalemate at 1-1

North Allegheny hosted the Penn-Trafford Warriors on Thursday night at NAI Turf. Defense reigned supreme early on, and both teams got fourth-quarter goals, but a scoreless overtime finished the game in a 1-1 tie.

After going into the fourth quarter tied 0-0, the Tigers broke through with 11:40 to go when Addison Burns found the back of the net to give NA the 1-0 lead. Penn-Trafford’s Mallory Bachar would score with four minutes left in regulation to tie the score at 1-1. Neither team was able to score in overtime, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Ellie Torchia made five saves for the Tigers.

North Allegheny’s record now stands at 0-1-2 overall. Penn-Trafford is now 1-0-1. The Tigers will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. This game will be broadcast live on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
