The North Allegheny Girls Lacrosse program notched another win in the 2021 campaign by a 21-5 score over non-conference foe Franklin Regional Friday afternoon at Newman Stadium.

The Tigers pounced early, with quick goals from senior Katie Oates and back-to-back markers from senior Lola Wilhite in the first 5 minutes of the contest. Tallies from senior Skye DePrado, sophomore Mila Prusak and sophomore Leigh Failla put the game out of reach early in the first half. Franklin Regional had troubles getting into the offensive zone for most of the early portions of the game, but did find offense from senior Gabby Salandro, who netted two of the five goals for the Panthers.

Failla earned Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors for netting a hat trick, while Katie Oates and sophomore Laurel Donley had three goals as well. DePrado, Wilhite, sophomore Delaney Kennedy and Prusak all had two goals apiece. Senior Alyssa Redshaw, junior Bella Falo, junior Amelia Henderson and sophomore Becka Oates all added a goal as well.

North Allegheny improves to 11-3 overall and will be in action Monday night in a home non-conference matchup with Hempfield at 6:00 pm. You can listen to that game live on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
