Entering tonight’s 3A game against Norwin. North Allegheny scored 11 goals total. The Tigers, coming off a huge win at Pine-Richland on Tuesday, doubled that total posting an 11-0 win over the Knights.

Despite controlling possession early and for most of the game, it took North Allegheny a few minutes to get started, but once they did, they never stopped.

It was junior Davia Gross, who got the ball rolling, scoring the first two goals of the game, the first off, a penalty corner, and the second on a third rebound sequence. Those were the first two goals of the season for Davia Gross, but she would not be the last Gross to find the net for the Tigers.

When Kaylee Volk scored at the end of the first quarter on an extended penalty corner, North Allegheny had a 3-0 lead.

Gia Gross added her second goal of the season, and when Audrey Evancho scored from an Addison Burns assist on a penalty corner, the Tigers had a 5-0 halftime lead.

Burns scored her second goal of the year in the third quarter, Gia Gross added her second of the game, before Burns added her second of the night to give North Allegheny an 8-0 lead at the end of three.

Gia Gross completed the hat trick in the fourth quarter, before Grace Gavran notched her fourth of the season. The first varsity goal for junior defender Cailyn Graham rounded out the scoring for North Allegheny (3-3-1, 2-1). The Tigers have now won three straight games.

Sophomore goalie Sydney Bragunier faced no pressure from Norwin the entire game, as the Tigers posted their first shutout of the season. North Allegheny had all 26 of the penalty corners in the game while getting the win.

After scoring a hat trick and running her season total to four goals, junior Gia Gross was named the Wright Automotive Player of the Game.

North Allegheny must wait a week for its next action. The Tigers will host Mt. Lebanon next Thursday, September 24^th, in a section game, which will be broadcast live on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
