
Quakers Beat Tigers To End Regular Season

The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team ended the regular season with a 14-3 road loss to Quaker Valley Wednesday night.
The Tigers started the game with their only offense of the evening coming in the first quarter. Senior Avery Anderson scored with 9:29 left in the frame, while fellow senior Viola DelVecchio tallied a goal with just under seven minutes in the stanza. Senior Madelyn Lemmon rounded out the first period scoring with a goal with 4:34 remaining. NA trailed Quaker Valley 5-3 after one.
The Quakers scored nine straight markers to end the game. Junior Fiola Ragan made nine saves in net.
With the loss, North Allegheny finishes the season with a 4-12 overall record, including 3-5 in section play. WPIAL Playoff pairings are released Thursday, and the Tigers await to see who they will face in the opening round of the postseason next week.
