Softball tame Tornado
North Allegheny hosted the Butler Golden Tornado on Saturday afternoon at NASH softball field in a Section 1-6A contest. The Tigers picked up their second win in a row defeating Butler by a score of 11-1 in five innings.
Leah Carlson had three triples for NA along with scoring twice and driving two runs in. Sammy Plotsko had a day at the plate and in the circle, doubling twice and picking up three RBIs while she was also the winning pitcher going four innings, allowing three hits and collecting seven strikeouts.
North Allegheny improves to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the section. Butler falls to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in section play. The Tigers return to action tomorrow when they travel to Woodland Hills to take on the Wolverines at 4 p.m.
