Tigers claim Fox Chapel Invitational Title
by: Boys Golf Contributor
The North Allegheny Boys Golf Team launched their defense of the WPIAL and PIAA State Championship on Friday at Cedarbrook Golf Course in spectacular fashion—despite the brutal heat. The Tigers delivered an impressively consistent performance, posting identical scores of 173 on each nine in this challenging 18-hole event.
Junior Kyle Seidl led the charge with a dazzling 67 on the par-72 course. Senior Preston Troiano followed closely with a scorching 4-under 68, while senior Ravi Desai kept the momentum rolling with a sub-par 69. Senior Colin Ward added to the barrage with a solid 2-under 70, and senior Liam Cooper came through with a clutch even-par 72. Senior Mike Huet rounded out the squad’s stellar showing with a steady 2-over 74. The medalist for the event was Fox Chapel’s Carson Kittsley with an 8 under par 64.
This victory comes on familiar turf—the same course where the Tigers claimed the 2024 WPIAL title. With this win setting the tone for the season, North Allegheny hits the road Monday to open section play against Mars at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course at 2:30 p.m.
