Tigers Dominate Dragons, 14-0
The North Allegheny field hockey team buried the Allderdice Dragons on Thursday afternoon under an avalanche of goals enroute to a 14-0 win in Section 1-AAA action at Cupples Stadium. It’s the second consecutive game the Tigers gave scored in double figures.
Leading the way was senior Mile Prusak with a six-goal effort. Junior Isla Abrams tallied a hat trick and sophomore Josie Schomburg followed with a pair of goals. Junior Haley Shanahan, sophomore Bailey Yatko and senior Leah Mouganis all contributed to the onslaught with markers as well.
With the win, North Allegheny leaps to 11-3-1 overall and 8-2 in section play. The Tigers will host Norwin on Tuesday for another section contest. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
