The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team cruised to a 16-0 road victory at Allderdice on Thursday afternoon in Section 2-AAA action.

Under a steady rain, the Tigers hydroplaned their way to a 9-0 lead by halftime and coasted to the win in the second half. Senior Isla Abrams and freshman Sarah Harlan tallied a hat trick each, while juniors Avery Anderson, Viola Del Vecchio and Sarah Donaldson and sophomore Reagan Riordan netted two goals apiece. Anderson was a catalyst for the NA offense with a team-high five assists as well. Additional scoring came from sophomore Sarah Donaldson and freshman Gracie Lynch, who posted one goal each.

Senior goalie Izzie Trunzo made nine saves to pickup the shutout and victory. It’s the second career shutout for Trunzo and the first since NA blanked Freeport 15-0 on March 22, 2023. Prior to the whitewash of the Yellow Jackets last season, the Tigers had not posted a shutout in 13 years.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 2-4 overall and improves its section mark to 2-2. Allderdice drops to 0-3 in the section. The Tigers will look to continue their winning ways with a home date against Freeport on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
