The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team hit the road for a Thursday night section matchup with Seneca Valley and came out on top with a 13-3 victory. The win is second in the section this season.

The Tigers jumped out to an early lead, scoring the first two goals of the contest about two minutes apart from each other in the first quarter. Junior Reagan Riordan and sophomore Briana Elias broke the ice for NA.

The Raiders found a marker to begin the second stanza, but the Tigers rattled off six straight goals to take a commanding 8-1 lead at the halftime break. Riordan scored her second of the night, while sophomore Sarah Harlan had back-to-back markers followed by a pair of goals from senior Avery Anderson and a hat trick score from Harlan.

Seneca Valley added two more goals in the third quarter, but North Allegheny kept the pressure on offensively tallying four more in the frame. Senior Tessa McDowell and sophomore Gracie Lynch cracked the score sheet, while Anderson and Riordan each added a third goal. Lynch scored the lone goal between the two teams in the fourth quarter.

Junior keeper Fiola Ragan was strong in net making seven total saves.

The win improves the Tigers record to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in section play. NA hits the road to play Butler in another section clash Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
