The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team fell to section foe Pine-Richland 15-3 at Newman Stadium Tuesday night.

The Rams shot out to an early four-goal lead courtesy of two markers from sophomore Cate Gentile, who finished the contest with a team-leading five goals. Freshman Mallory Boivin and junior Madeline Mill also tallied goals in the opening minutes. North Allegheny set up shop in the offensive zone and ran a set play for their first goal. Senior Isla Abrams worked with sophomore Reagan Riordan and junior Avery Anderson bunched behind the net. The trio executed a wheel play goal line extended on the far side as Riordan lined up a cutting pass to Anderson for the score. NA trailed 5-1 at the end of the first quarter.

Abrams tallied a goal to start the second frame, cutting the lead to three. Pine-Richland scored the next 10 straight goals, putting the game out of reach. Mill, freshman Claire Mill, and Boivin all had hat tricks. Senior Ashley Woodward also scored late in the third.

North Allegheny found a late goal from junior Madelyn Lemmon, who earned Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors.
