Tigers fall to Seneca Valley

Seneca Valley defeated North Allegheny on Youth Night, 12-2 in five innings on Friday night at North Allegheny High School
The Raiders struck early, scoring five runs in the first inning. Abby Kolkowski and Harlee Hornik each hit a two-run home run, along with an RBI from Hannah Hornick. Kolkowski would hit her second of the game to extend the lead to 6-0 in the 3rd.
North Allegheny would threaten in the bottom of the inning, loading the bases, but could not score. Seneca Valley scored three times in the fourth and fifth innings to make it 12-0 before the Tigers would try to extend the game.
Taylor Condiotte and Cailyn Wateska opened the fifth inning with singles. They would both score on throwing errors, allowing Zoe Rychel to reach third base. The Tigers would load the bases with no outs, but could not push home another run, and the game ended in five innings.
Sam Hubert was the Wright Automotive player of the game with the only extra base hit of the game for the Tigers with her double in the second inning. North Allegheny falls to 4-7 overall and 4-6 in section play. The Tigers’ next game will be Monday at Home against Mount Lebanon at 4 p.m. This game will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
