Tigers maul Moon

The North Allegheny Boys’ Tennis Team continued their journey through the AAA, Section 2 schedule with a dominant performance at Moon. The 5-0 sweep was the team’s seventh such victory on the season and places them atop the standings with two section matches remaining.
This time, it was senior captain Evan Kaufman making quick work of his Tigers foe, 6-0, 6-0 to put the visitors on the board first. His complete dominance at third singles earned him his second Man of the Match recognition in the past three contests. The lead increased to two as junior captain Advaita Sircar posted a similar blanking at first singles, 6-0, 6-0. The clinching point of the match came off of the strings of the first doubles team comprised of senior captain Adhav Ramadas and fellow senior Matthew Kampi. The tandem overcame a slow start to pull away, 6-2, 6-0.
Junior Ashwin Sudhakar, making his second straight start at second singles, also swept his opponent, 6-0, 6-0. With the team sweep hanging in the balance, junior Shivum Telang and senior Anish Ramachandruni assured it would be a jubilant trip back to Wexford by taking down their second doubles adversaries, 6-0, 6-1.
Next up, Sircar and Kaufman will compete in the Section 2 Singles Tournament tomorrow and Thursday at the Pennsylvania Tennis Academy. Good luck, boys!
