The North Allegheny Boys’ Tennis Team won their sixth straight match by blanking neighboring North Hills, 5-0 at North Hills High School on Thursday afternoon.

For the second straight season, the Tigers pulled off the near impossible by winning every match without dropping a single game.  Senior Nitin Gupta got his first start and win of the season to get the Tigers on the board first by winning at third singles, 6-0, 6-0. This dominating performance was enough to earn Gupta Man of the Match honors. The first doubles team of senior Nick Scheuring and junior Adhav Ramadas quickly doubled the lead by taking their match, 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore standout and first singles player Advaita Sircar followed almost immediately to clinch the match with another 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Senior Sri Thirumala got a spot start at second singles to prepare for next week’s section tournament. He made quick work of his opponent, winning 6-0, 6-0. All eyes turned to second doubles to see if they could complete the sweep and shutout. The all-sophomore team of Shivum Telang and Ronit Ginde made their first start as a duo a good one, downing their opponents by the score of 6-0, 6-0. The Tigers played 60 total games against the Indians and won them all.
