Tigers Remain Unbeaten, Sweep Tornado
Continuing to use a “Spring Break” lineup, the Boys’ Tennis Team defeated section foe Butler, 5-0.
To start off the scoring, senior Adithya Ramadas Guptha teamed with his brother, sophomore Adhav Ramadas, at first doubles to best their Golden Tornado opponents, 6-0, 6-0. Getting their first varsity starts of the season were juniors Nick Haller and Nitin Gupta who won with similar scores at second doubles 6-0, 6-0. The decisive point of the match came from freshman phenom Advaita Sircar at number one singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Moving up the lineup to occupy the third singles spot for the first time this season, freshman Shivum Telang kept the ball rolling 6-0, 6-1. Senior Amit Bhandari also moved up, this time to second singles, to complete the sweep, 6-2, 6-1.
The team hosts section rival Moon on Monday. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
