Tigers Run Away From Raiders

The North Allegheny track and field team traveled to Seneca Valley on Tuesday afternoon and claimed a section sweep over the host Raiders. The NA Boys earned a 95-55 victory, while the Lady Tigers rolled to a 111-39 win.

The NA Boys were led by first-place performances from Owen Curran (100m Hurdles and High Jump), Jack Bertram (1600m and 800m), Jackson Pajak (400m), A.J. Foulk (300m Hurdles), Gregory Kossuth (3200m), Jack Yatchenko (Shot Put), Kaden Velasquez (Discus), Andrew Gavlik (Javelin) and Ryan Handron (Pole Vault). The relay team in the 4×800 took first place for the Tigers.

The Lady Tigers breezed to the victory thanks to first-place performances from Lucia Wells (100m), Wren Kucler (1600m), Maya Currie (400m), Arianna Tegtmeier (300m Hurdles), Robin Kucler (800m), Isabella Costa (200m and Long Jump), Camille Swirsding (3200m), Jamie Frisco (Shot Put), Amy (Grey) Yang (Discus), Alaina Fantaski (Javelin) and Ava Como (Pole Vault). The relay teams in the 4×800 and 4×100 also claimed first place for the Tigers.

Following the sweep, the NA Boys improve to 3-1 in the section and the Lady Tigers stay perfect with a 4-0 mark. NATF will take part in the Butler Invitational on Friday.
