Tigers Tame Talbots

The North Allegheny Boys’ Tennis Team opened their 2026 campaign by welcoming neighboring Hampton to the NASH courts. However, it was not a very warm reception for the visiting Talbots as the Tiger netters were dominant in a 5-0 victory.
Newly minted captain and senior Evan Kaufman got NA on the board first with a complete dismantling of his 2nd singles opponent, 6-0, 6-0. Shortly thereafter, junior captain Advaita Sircar doubled the lead by taking down his Hampton foe at first singles, 6-0, 6-1. Another captain, senior Adhav Ramadas clinched the match for the Tigers by silencing his third singles adversary, 6-0, 6-0. Normally a doubles specialist, Ramadas didn’t bat an eye when told he would be pressed into singles duty and his performance earned him today’s Man of the Match honors.
With the outcome of the match already decided, all eyes turned to doubles to see if a sweep was in order. Making his first start in a Tiger uniform, junior Ashwin Sudhakar teamed with senior Matthew Kampi to blank their first doubles rivals, 6-0, 6-0. Finally, the returning second doubles tandem of juniors Shivum Telang and Ronit Ginde made quick work of their Talbot challengers, 6-0, 6-1.
Next up, the team looks to avenge it’s only regular season loss in the past three years as they host perennial powerhouse, Mt. Lebanon, on Tuesday. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
