Tigers Top Talbots To Open 2023 Season
The North Allegheny boys’ golf team was the first squad to open the 2023 fall sports season with a non-section contest against Hampton on Thursday afternoon at Pittsburgh North Golf Course. The Tigers came away with a 186-200 triumph to begin the campaign on a winning note.
North Allegheny was led by a pair of 1-over par 36’s from junior Chris Hoffman and sophomore Colin Ward. Senior Jacob Phrampus chipped in with a 37, sophomore Ravi Desai carded a 38 and fellow sophomore Liam Cooper rounded out the scoring with a 39. Hampton’s Peter Kramer paced the Talbots with a team-best score of 37.
North Allegheny will take its 1-0 record into Monday’s non-section matchup with Fox Chapel at North Park.
