Tigers Top Tornado For Section Win
The North Allegheny boys’ golf team traveled to a very wet Slippery Rock Golf Course and weathered the storm against the Butler Golden Tornado, 200-204.
Earlier in the season, the Tigers earned a four-stroke victory against Butler and did so again on Monday afternoon thanks in part to a 3-over par from sophomore Chris Hoffman. Chipping in to help secure the win were senior Ethan Byrne and freshman Ravi Desai, who each shot a 40. Junior Collin Wang and freshman Colin Ward added a pair of 41’s. Butler was led by Ryan Porch and his clubhouse leading 37.
North Allegheny improves to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in section play. The Tigers will host Franklin Regional on Wednesday at North Park Golf Course.
