The North Allegheny Boys’ Tennis Team finally opened section play with a trip north to face Butler. The Golden Tornado was reduced to a light breeze as the Tigers shut down the hosts, 5-0.

Junior captain Advaita Sircar set the tone by blanking his opponent at first singles, 6-0, 6-0. The lead ballooned to two after senior captain Evan Kaufman shellacked his second singles adversary, 6-0, 6-1. The clinching point of the match came at first doubles. Junior Ashwin Sudhakar and senior Matthew Kampi, who still have not lost a single game in dual match play, cruised 6-0, 6-0.

With victory assured, it was not a question of if, but when the sweep would be complete. Senior Anish Ramachandruni made his first start of the season and vanquished his foe at 3rd singles, 6-1, 6-0. The win was enough to garner him Man of the Match recognition. Finally, junior Ronit Ginde paired with senior captain Adhav Ramadas, who continues to take his sweet time with his matches, to silence Butler’s second doubles team, 6-0, 6-0.

Tomorrow, the team hosts neighboring North Hills with its perfect 4-0 record on the line. Match time is set for 3:30 PM at “The Cage”.
