Tigers Wrap Up Regular Season With Shutout Of Bethel Park
On the last day of WPIAL regular season play Thursday afternoon, the Tigers hosted Bethel Park in an exhibition contest and shutout the Blackhawks 5-0. Senior Manas Kathir, freshman Evan Kaufman, and sophomore Sri Thirumala took one, two, and three singles respectively, all in straight sets. Junior Amit Bhandari and freshman Matt Kampi at one doubles along with senior Raj Ginde and junior UT Tiwari at two doubles all took their contests in straight sets.
With the win the NA Tigers improve to 10-0 on the season, including a 6-0 section mark. The WPIAL 3A Boys’ Tennis Championships begin Monday, May 1. The Tigers host the Titans of Shaler on Monday afternoon, with match time scheduled for 3:30 PM on the NASH courts
