Track and Field Sweeps North Hills, Shaler to Open Season

The North Allegheny track and field team opened the 2025 season with a road section tri-meet against North Hills and Shaler. The Lady Tigers defeated Shaler, 113-37, and beat North Hills, 134-16. The NA Boys prevailed over the Titans, 116-34, and topped the Indians, 103-47.

On the girls’ side of the competition, first-place performances were turned in by senior Isabella Costa (200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, long jump), senior Elizabeth Pizon (800-meter run), senior Robin Kucler (1,600-meter run), senior Camille Swirsding (3,200-meter run), freshman Lola Hood (100-meter hurdles), freshman Elizabeth Davis (300-meter hurdles), junior Lindsay Breneman (triple jump, pole vault), junior Audrey Maxwell (discus) and junior Taylor Neese (shot put.) The Lady Tigers also had team first-place finishes in 4×400 and 4×800 meter relays.

The boys had first-place finishes by senior Conor McNeely (100-meter dash, 200-meter dash), senior Zach Nash (400-meter dash), senior Greg Abel (1,600-meter run), senior Sebastian Klimchak (3,200-meter run), junior Sam Cohn (300-meter hurdles), senior Dylan Langdon (high jump), Nicholas Humphries (long jump), junior Caleb Bohnenstengel (pole vault) and senior Jack Yatchenko (discus, shot put.) NA also had a first-place finish in javelin along with team wins in the 4×100-meter relay, 4×400-meter relay and 4×800-meter relay.

The team is back in action at home on Wednesday, April 9th with a section clash against Butler at Newman Stadium.
