Track & Field sweeps tri-meet with Pine-Richland & Fox Chapel
North Allegheny traveled to Pine-Richland for a tri-meet against the Rams and Fox Chapel on Tuesday afternoon. It was a 4-0 day for the Tigers overall as the boys defeated Pine-Richland 98-52 and Fox Chapel 121-29. The girls follow suit taking down the Rams 122-28 and the Foxes 120-30.
For the boys, Rocco Martino came in the second in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash. Matthew Eisenreich was the fourth-place finisher in the 400-meter dash while Wyatt Case won the 800-meter run. Gatik Hirwani claimed first in the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run. Peter Gibson tied for first in the 110-meter hurdles while Sam Cohn was runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles. North Allegheny won the 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800-meter relays. Aidan D’Errico was second in the high jump. Gibson was second in the long jump and first in the triple jump. Evan Dickert was the second-place finisher in the pole vault while Charles Gibson won discus. Callan Bunger claimed the javelin and shot put titles.
On the girls side, Kendra Smith won the 100-meter dash while Blake Stotsky took the 200-meter dash. Maya Currie was the top finisher in the 400-meter dash and Mary Lucas took the top spot in the 800-meter run. Samantha Strelick won the 1600-meter run. Lola Hood was first place in the 100-meter hurdles and second in the 300-meter hurdles. The Tigers claimed the 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800-meter relays. Eva Pesci placed atop the high jump chart while Lindsay Breneman won the long jump and pole vault. Avery Ruffus was the top finisher in the triple jump and Audrey Maxwell claimed the discus title. Emma Neese claimed javelin while Taylor Neese won shot put.

The Tigers now await their playoff fate with the WPIAL Committee meeting on Thursday. The WPIAL Team Semifinals will be next Tuesday, April 28.
