Zoe Rychel Commits To Bucknell Softball

North Allegheny softball junior Zoe Rychel has announced where she will be playing at the next level following graduation next spring.
Rychel, who was recently named a captain for this season, posted to social media Monday evening about her decision to attend Bucknell University in the fall of 2027.

Rychel was recognized as a preseason player to watch by Trib HSSN in recent days.
As a sophomore, she earned a spot on the 6A second-team for the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association All-State team. It was the third honor of the year, as she was named first-team Big 56 All-Conference and All-WPIAL as well.
Rychel was tabbed second-team all-state at second base. In 19 games played, she batted .438 with 28 hits, including 12 doubles, 13 RBI and 13 runs scored. In the field, she boasted a .984 fielding percentage with 51 putouts and nine assists.
Additionally, Rychel is also a member of the Team Pennsylvania travel softball organization.
North Allegheny softball opens the season on the road Thursday against Shaler. First pitch is slated for 4:00 p.m.
