NORTH ALLEGHENY CREW RESULTS TIGER ROWERS SHINE AT FOGGY HERITAGE CLASSIC REGATTA by
Donna Hudson The North Allegheny Tiger Rowers made an impressive showing in their first appearance at the American Heritage Fall Classic River Regatta in Wyandotte, MI on Sunday. Despite the fog and drizzle on the Detroit River, NA’s boats found the finish line with medal-winning form time and again. Of the 9 boats entered, 7 brought home medals - 3 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze – and all NA boats finished in the top 8. Both the NA Men’s Eight and Women’s Eight won added distinctions. Not only did they take first place in their respective high school categories, but also posted the fastest course times in their events, defeating all competing college and club teams. Allegheny’s rowing team turned in another outstanding performance at the
Jack Speakmon Memorial Regatta, held Saturday, October 25 in Columbus,
Ohio. The Scioto River
bustled with activity from dawn to dusk as 46 high school, college and
club teams came together to compete.
At the end of the day, the Tigers had captured an impressive 14
medals, including 5 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze, and had 9 other top-ten
finishes. The

Eight not only took first place in the high school category, but also
posted the fastest course time of the race, defeating
all
competing

Erin Dauson, Briana Pittman * * * * * * * * * * * * * * HEAD OF THE OHIO A WET AND WILD RIDE FOR TIGER ROWERS by Donna Hudson NA's Tiger Rowers took on the rain, wind and chill of Saturday, October 4 and turned in medal-winning performances at the Head of the Ohio Regatta. "HOTO", held in downtown Pittsburgh, is a major fall race that attracts high school, college and club teams from across the eastern and mid-western United States as well as Canada. A total of 97 teams contributed to the intense competition at this year's regatta. The Tigers brought home a total of six medals --- 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze. They also scored 9 other top-ten finishes. NA's total team points tied for second highest among all competing high schools and highest among Western PA teams. Listed below are the full NA results:
